Viking Yachts 57 Motor Yacht
The Viking 57 Motor Yacht is a spin-off of the original Gulfstar/Viking 55 Motor Yacht hull with the extra length used to add space in the engine room and—on the deckhouse level—to create a more spacious aft deck. The 57 has some advantages over the Viking 50, 55 and 63 motor yachts thanks to the large aft deck and huge flybridge/upper deck with room for a dinghy and water toys. The 57 is built on a fully cored hull with a wide 17'4" beam with a shallow keel for directional stability. The Viking’s main deck layout is arranged with the full-beam salon separated from the galley and dinette. A staircase in the salon provides private access to the master stateroom with a centerline king bed and his and her closets. The forward stateroom and amidships VIP stateroom have queen berths, and the small guest cabin to starboard has single berths. All three heads have separate stall showers. The aft deck is accessed through a large sliding glass door from the salon, and the engine room is entered from the companionway leading below. The cockpit is shaded by a flybridge overhang. Twin 820hp MANs cruise at 19–20 knots, and 760hp Detroit 8V92s cruise at 18 knots (about 20 knots top).
