Viking Yachts
48 Convertible
2017–Current
Building on the success of the popular Viking 46 Convertible (2010–16), the larger cockpit of the 48 C provides space under the sole for the installation of a Seakeeper gyro stabilizer. The 48 was a striking addition to the Viking product lineup when she was introduced in 2017 with sharp styling and a spacious open-plan layout available with teak or walnut joinery. The 48 C's well-appointed interior provides many of the luxuries one might expect in a midsize motoryacht. Taking advantage of the wide 17-foot beam, the salon boasts an L-shape lounge and cocktail table to starboard, an inviting dinette to port, and peninsula galley forward with a raised bar top, under-counter refrigeration, convection oven and ample stowage behind the maple-lined cabinets. There are three staterooms and two heads on the lower level including an amidships master with walkaround queen berth and two guest staterooms with upper/lower berths. The 124 square-foot cockpit features flush rod holders, a transom fish box, and recessed fish and transom door with lift gate. Engineroom access is through the observation mezzanine. MAN 1,200hp diesels cruise at 30 knots (mid 30s top).
