With her raked bow, wraparound windshield and graceful sheer, the 44 Open will appeal to boaters looking for a family oriented sportfish that combines versatility, comfort, and traditional Viking performance. The command bridge shares many of the features of its larger siblings including a tournament proven centerline helm station on a raised platform for enhanced visibility. Two steps down from the command deck, the 119 sq. ft. cockpit is equipped with a transom live well, transom door with a lift gate, tackle stowage, and in-deck fish and stowage wells. Mezzanine seating — set to starboard to accommodate the command deck steps — is perfectly positioned for watching the baits. A custom tuna tower is available from Viking subsidiary Palm Beach Towers. Below decks, the 44 Open has a two-stateroom setup with a forepeak master and amidships guest cabin. The master stateroom includes private access to the day head. In the main cabin area the seating is to port, across from the starboard-side galley with teak cabinetry, Corian countertops, and under-counter refrigerator and freezer. With twin MAN 800hp inboard diesels, the 44 Open will cruise at 30 knots with a top end of 33–34 knots.
