A popular yacht for many years, the Vantare 64 CMY combines spacious cruising accommodations with the added versatility of a user-friendly cockpit. She was built by Chung Hwa in Taiwan on a fully cored, semi-displacement hull with a wide 17-foot, 6-inch beam and a shallow, full-length keel. By any standard, the Vantare is a huge boat inside with the living space of many 70-footers. Her enormous full-beam salon with solid teak cabinets and built-in entertainment center offers cruising elegance on a grand scale. A home-size galley with serving counter is forward, and the pilothouse can be closed off from the salon for privacy. There are four staterooms on the lower level including a large VIP forward that’s nearly as big as the master stateroom. Note that a staircase aft in the salon provides private access to the master suite. (Also note that these were semi-custom yachts so no two layouts are exactly alike.) The aft deck features a teak sole, wet bar, and flybridge access. Twin 550hp 6V92 diesels cruise at 12 knots, and 735hp 8V92 diesels cruise at 18 knots. A few Vantare 64s were built with an aft engine room.
