Brendan 32 Sedan

Built by the Shannon Boat Co. (the well-regarded sailboat builder), the Brendan 32 was available as a Sport Sedan or as an open Sportfisherman model without a flybridge. Constructed on a modified-V hull with cored hull sides and a relatively wide beam, both models are fairly conservative and traditional designs built to above-average production standards Sharing identical interior layouts forward of the lower helm, the Sedan’s enclosed salon makes her an appealing boat for the cruising family. A transom door is standard, and there are two in-deck fish boxes in the cockpit sole. The flybridge is very small for a boat this size, and while well-arranged at the helm, it’s definitely not designed for a crowd. The bi-level cockpit of the Sportfisherman provides enough space for several anglers and wide side decks make bow access easy. Twin 205hp GM 6.2 diesels have been the most popular engines over the years. With these engines the Brendan 32 will cruise around 18 knots and reach 23 knots wide open. Later models with 210hp Cummins will run a knot or two faster. About forty of these boats were built.
