Brendan 28 Sportfisherman

The Brendan 28 was a limited-production express fisherman (originally built by Shannon but built by Brendan in later years) with conservative lines and a practical fish-or-cruise layout. She was constructed on a fully cored semi-V hull with moderate beam and a shallow keel—an easy-riding design with good offshore handling characteristics. The interior of the Brendan is arranged with V-berths forward, a removable dinette table, convertible settee, a small galley, and an enclosed head with shower. A well-crafted boat, the meticulous detailing and quality components found in the Brendan 28 are impressive. With over 100 square feet of space, the cockpit is able to handle the installation of a fighting chair with no problem. Additional features include a transom door, two in-deck fish boxes, fairly wide side decks, a molded bow pulpit, and plenty of storage. A pair of sliding deck covers behind the helm and companion seats provide excellent access to the motors. Twin 270hp gas inboards cruise the Brendan at 20 knots and reach 29–30 knots top. Optional 205hp GM diesels also cruise at 20 knots with a top speed of 24–25 knots.
