Sea Sport
Pacific 3200
1998–2005
Power catamarans aimed at the sportfishing market have become popular in recent years. More stable than their monohull counterparts and offering advantages in both fuel economy and ride, most catamaran fishing boats have been of the trailerable variety. Sea Sport’s Pacific 3200, however, offers boaters a well-built and rugged power cat with an enclosed pilothouse, a large cockpit, and an interior geared for comfortable cruising. With a beam of just under 13 feet, the Pacific isn’t so wide as to make finding a slip difficult—a genuine issue with many wide-beam cats. A distinctive boat with a rakish profile, she rides on a pair of deep-V hulls rather than the slower (but more efficient) semi-displacement hulls found in many power cats. The floorplan is arranged with the galley to port in the salon, opposite the dinette, with the lower helm on the centerline. The head is in the port hull, and the double-berth stateroom is reached from the starboard hull. Additional features include very wide side decks, teak interior woodwork, and a cockpit sink and transom door. Several V-drive, waterjet, and sterndrive engine options were offered.
