Riviera Yachts
42 Flybridge
2004–08
The Riviera 42 is an Australian built convertible whose solid construction and sleek styling have great appeal for American buyers. Riviera is the only foreign fishboat manufacturer to have succeeded in winning the hearts of American anglers thanks in large measure to the company’s reputation for reliability and strong resale values. Built on a solid fiberglass hull with a wide beam and forward collision bulkhead, the two-stateroom, two-head interior of the Riviera 42 was available with or without a lower helm. A unique triple-bunk guest cabin to starboard has side-by-side bunks as well as an upper berth, and the master stateroom comes with an island berth and private en suite head. High-gloss cabinetry, a salon dinette, and a well-equipped galley combine to make this interior as comfortable as it is practical. Topside, the Riviera’s flybridge is somewhat unique in that the helm is to starboard with the companion seat on the centerline—a design that means the driver doesn’t have to get up to let someone pass behind him. A sun shade shelters the cockpit, and a bait prep center, in-deck fish box, and cooler/freezer are standard. Cruise in the low 20s with 480hp diesels.
