4000 Offshore
1999–2004
Riviera’s first-ever express, the 4000 Offshore is a well-built family cruiser with conservative lines (note the absence of an integrated swim platform) and a surprisingly spacious interior. She’s constructed on a solid fiberglass hull with a wide 14'4" beam and shallow keel for directional stability. Below decks, the oak-finished interior provides a sleeping capacity for four people, including a large forward cabin with an island berth. The salon dinette converts to double berth, and the Riviera’s large head compartment includes a separate shower stall. A mirror-backed cocktail cabinet separates the dining area from the forward stateroom. On deck, the cockpit has a double helm seat, a second dinette with a molded-in freezer and sink, and a hydraulic midship hatch for engine room access. (Note that the Riviera has a spacious engine room—something that wouldn’t be possible with a conventional mid-cabin interior.) Additional features include a cockpit transom door, radar arch, swim platform, and a bow pulpit. Among several engine options, Cummins 450hp (or 435hp Cat) diesels cruise the 4000 Offshore in the mid 20s (about 30 knots top).
