Rinker Yachts 266 Fiesta Vee
Trailerable family cruisers with standing cabin headroom generally have a fat, overstuffed appearance due to their elevated foredecks and helms. The Rinker 266 Fiesta Vee comes off looking a little better than most, however, thanks to her streamlined deck profile and some clever cabin graphics. Like all Rinker models, the 266 is a fairly straightforward boat, affordably priced and conservatively built on a solid fiberglass deep-V hull. At over 6,000 lbs., she’s no lightweight and she’ll require a heavy-duty tow vehicle for any serious traveling. Below deck, the Fiesta Vee’s cabin is surprisingly spacious thanks to the absence of walkaround decks. The midcabin floorplan is very typical with a convertible dinette/V-berth forward, a small mid-berth aft, an enclosed head with shower, and a compact galley. Notably, there’s a full interior liner that makes cleanup quick and easy. The bi-level cockpit has a large L-shaped lounge opposite the helm, a walk-thru windshield, and a transom seat with storage under. On the downside, the engine hatch is difficult to lift and a gas-assist strut would have been a useful touch. A single 250hp MerCruiser I/O will cruise the 266 at 18-20 knots (30+ knots top).
