Regulator
23 Classic
1994–2013
An iconic boat with a long history, the Regulator 23 Classic has the distinction of being one of the smallest deep-V center consoles available which is truly offshore-capable. Built on a proven Lou Codega hull design, there have been many changes and updates to the 23 Classic over the years, most notably in 2005 when a forward seating option became available. A huge fish box forward on the centerline holds 174 gallons, and the storage boxes in the forward seats are insulated. An insulated cooler is under the console's forward seat. The 35-gallon livewell is centered and recessed into the deck, just behind the leaning post. Both open and forward seating models have a step-up from the stern cockpit area to the bow. There was no room for a head beneath the console until 2005 when a standup compartment housing a portable toilet became standard. The construction can be described in one word: Superb. The 23 was only available with a single 300hp engine until 2009. No lightweight, the top speed with a Yamaha V6 F300 is about 45 mph. A new Regulator 23 with a flush cockpit and Armstrong bracket was introduced in 2014.
