53 Convertible

Post 53 Convertible
The Post 53 Convertible was the Jersey-based company’s final model introduction prior to going out of business in 2009—the last in a series of semi-custom sportfishing boats stretching back to the late 1950s. Sharing the classic styling and excellent quality of her predecessors, the 53 rides on a low-deadrise modified-V hull with a solid fiberglass bottom and a wide 16'11" beam. Her tournament-ready cockpit boasts standard features such as a top-loading freezer, lift-out in-deck fish boxes, transom livewell, tackle storage and a bait prep center. Below, the 53’s three-stateroom layout and spacious salon and galley are equipped with tons of storage, making her ideal for family cruising. The master stateroom is to port with a walkaround queen bed and private head with separate stall shower. The guest stateroom is forward, also with an island queen, while a smaller stateroom with over/under bunks is to starboard. Note high-gloss teak cabinetry, frameless windows, Corian galley counters, and companionway washer/dryer. Topside, the front of the helm console opens to reveal a large rod storage locker. The engine room is as good as it gets in a convertible this size. MTU 1,200hp engines cruise at 30 knots (about 35 knots top).
