Ocean Master

31 Walkaround

1975–99

Ocean Master 31 Walkaround
The Ocean Master 31 Walkaround is an outboard-powered canyon runner for anglers seeking the storage and bad-weather protection not found in a center console design. The 31 is a departure from the norm in that she’s built on a modified-V hull rather than the traditional deep-V configuration seen in most boats of her type. Her well-flared bow keeps spray out of the cockpit, and hard chines (widened in 1993) run all the way aft to the transom to provide additional lift. With 20 layers of hand-laid fiberglass and over an inch of hull thickness, the 31 Walkaround is a well-built boat indeed, and with her wide beam there’s a lot of deck space including a casting platform at the bow. The compact cuddy includes V-berths and storage, and a small galley and head with shower could be added if the buyer wanted them. An anchor locker is forward along with a big in-deck fish box, and a bait prep area is provided aft. Additional features include two opening ports in the cuddy, a 75-gallon livewell, a full inner liner, and excellent nonskid. A good-running boat, twin 250hp outboards will deliver a top speed of close to 45 knots.
