3700 SCR

1998–2001

Maxum 3700 SCR
Patterned after the popular 4100 SCR, the Maxum 3700 SCR is a contemporary family cruiser whose wide-open interior and sporty appearance appealed to entry-level boaters in the late 1990s. She rides on a solid fiberglass modified-V hull with an integrated swim platform and moderate 13-foot beam. At just over 20,000 pounds, the 3700 SCR is a relatively light boat for her size. Below deck, the mid-cabin interior—essentially a scaled-down version of the larger 4100 SCR—is extremely open thanks to the absence of a fixed bulkhead separating the stateroom from the salon. A large and well-equipped galley is to port, and the twin berths in the aft cabin easily convert into a queen bed. Headroom is about 6 feet, 4 inches in the main cabin, and a circular stall shower is located in the head. On deck, the bi-level cockpit of the 3700 SCR comes with a double-wide helm seat, wet bar, transom door, and an aft lounge that converts into a sun pad. Twin 380hphp V-drive MerCruiser inboards cruise the Maxum 3700 SCR at 18 knots (26–27 knots top), and optional 370hp Cummins diesels cruise in the mid 20s (about 30 knots top).
