2500 SCR

A well styled trailerable cruiser, the Maxum 2500 SCR is an affordable midcabin family boat with a spacious interior and a comfortable cockpit layout. Like most big trailerable cruisers, the 2500 has a lot of freeboard (necessary to provide adequate cabin headroom), so while no one would call her sleek, she does provide a lot of interior volume for a 25-footer. The midcabin floorplan is arranged with a convertible V-berth/dinette forward, a compact galley to port, an enclosed head compartment, and an amidship berth aft with a privacy curtain. In the single-level cockpit, an L-shaped lounge opposite the helm doubles as an aft-facing seat, and a wet bar is located behind the helm seat. Additional features include a swim platform, a hot and cold freshwater shower, walk-thru windshield, transom door, swim ladder, flip-up helm bolster, windshield wiper and two opening ports. A single 260-hp MerCruiser sterndrive will cruise the Maxum 2500 SCR at 21 knots and reach a top speed in the neighborhood of 32–33 knots.
