With her imposing appearance and high-performance capabilities, the Magnum 63 commands attention wherever she goes. The styling is by Pininfarina—the design team behind Ferrari—and her rugged deep-V hull is built entirely of hand-laminated Kevlar for strength and lightness. Not inexpensive, the Magnum 63 is a semicustom yacht and each was personalized to some extent to meet customer desires. Several two-stateroom floorplans (some with crew quarters forward) were offered during her production run, and a wide 17-foot beam provides plenty of interior volume in the salon. The cockpit of the 63 Sport is huge and may be configured with massive amounts of lounge seating as well as a six-person sun pad aft. Notable features include a beaujpgully crafted Italian dash, a sleek wraparound windshield, reverse arch, excellent engine access, and abundant storage. Standard 1,400hp 16V92 Detroits with Arneson Surface Drives (recommended) will cruise the Magnum 63 at 38–40 knots (close to 45 knots top), and optional 1,800hp MTUs are capable of reaching a top speed in the neighborhood of 55 knots.
