1978–88

Lien Hwa 60 Motor Yacht
A heavily built Taiwan import with a traditional flush deck layout, the Lien Hwa 60 MY (also marketed in the U.S. as the Hartmann-Palmer 60) proved an appealing boat in the mid 1980s because of her competitive price and a spacious, all-teak interior. Built on a beamy semi-displacement hull, the galley-up, four-stateroom floorplan of the Lien Hwa is ideal for owners who cruise with friends and family. The wheelhouse—with port and starboard deck doors—is separate from the salon in this layout and the two aft staterooms are accessed via a staircase in the salon. The day head is a great convenience, especially when entertaining guests. Note that each stateroom has its own head. Outside, the wide walkaround decks of the Lien Hwa 60 are protected by a bridge overhang, and there’s room on the extended flybridge for a small crowd. Additional features include a walk-in engine room, bow pulpit, teak decks and a molded bench seat on the foredeck. Designed for long range cruising, twin 350hp GM 8V92s cruise the Lien Hwa 60 at 8–10 knots and reach a top speed of about 15 knots.
