Krogen Express 49
A distinctive yacht with her plumb bow and salty lines, the Krogen Express 49 is a semi-displacement cruising yacht that’s sure to turn heads wherever she goes. With a moderate 14'9" beam, rounded bilges, and hard aft chines, the hull of the Krogen Express is solid fiberglass below the waterline. Below decks, the accommodations emphasize room and comfort for extended cruising. The salon is entered from the covered aft deck through double doors. To starboard is a large L-shaped settee and folding pedestal table. There are large opening windows port and starboard and a fixed window in the aft bulkhead. The spacious master stateroom is forward with a queen island berth and en suite head with stall shower. The guest stateroom/office with upper/lower berths and desk is aft of the master stateroom, to starboard. The day head with stall shower is opposite the guest stateroom. Forward of the galley and up three steps is the Krogen’s roomy pilothouse complete with watch berth and twin deck doors. The flybridge is accessed from the pilothouse. Cat 350hp diesels (13–14 knots cruise) were standard until 2000 when 420hp Yanmars (15–16 knots cruise) became standard. A total of 16 were built.
