The Krogen Express 52 is a longer, wider version of the Krogen Express 49 (1995–2002). She’s built on a Kevlar-reinforced semi-displacement hull with moderate beam, hard aft chines, and a shallow keel for directional stability. While the interior is similar to the 49, the extra length of the 52 can be seen in larger cockpit and salon dimensions and a bigger pilothouse with room for a fixed helm chair. Built for long range cruising in comfort and security, the distinctive profile of the Krogen Express is matched with a beaujpgul cherry interior. The pilothouse, which is the focal point of this boat, offers excellent visibility and includes a dinette that converts to a watch berth. Large windows bathe the salon and galley in light, and the cockpit, salon, and galley all flow into one another on a single level. The forward master stateroom with island berth is very spacious, and the guest stateroom can double as a den, complete with desk and settee. Topside, the flybridge boasts an L-shaped settee and a centerline helm position. The engine room—with its excellent access and serviceability—is a huge asset. Powered with 440hp Yanmar diesels, the generous tankage makes for impressive range—about 400 miles at 14–16 knots.
