The Vista 49 Motor Yacht stands out from most other motor yachts her size in that she features a spacious two-stateroom floorplan rather than a more confining three-stateroom layout. (Note, however, that a three-stateroom floorplan is said to have been available.) A well-built boat with solid fiberglass hull construction and a shallow, full-length keel, the Vista 49 will appeal to those seeking the expansive living accommodations of a large salon and aft cabin at the expense of a third stateroom. Most were finished out with a light oak interior, and while the beam is moderate, the long salon and galley-down design result in an unusually spacious and comfortable salon. The aft deck is also very roomy and makes for an excellent entertainment platform. Like all Vista models, the flybridge is well arranged with a centerline helm and wraparound console. Additional features include excellent storage, stall showers in both heads, a spacious engine room, and generous side decks. Note that a fully enclosed aft deck was optional. Among several engine optiona, 375hp Cats cruise the Vista 49 at 17–18 knots (about 20 top).
