Grand Alaskan
75 Pilothouse
2000–Current
Built in Taiwan, the Alaskan 75 is a handsome raised pilothouse yacht with a compelling blend of luxury accommodations, long-range cruising capabilities, and impressive craftsmanship. The 75 is a semicustom yacht, and like other models in the Alaskan fleet, she was built on a semi-displacement hull with a shallow keel, a generous beam, and foam coring above the waterline. The teak interior is arranged with three or four staterooms on the lower level including a king master suite amidships and a queen VIP cabin forward. The galley and day head are on the pilothouse level a few steps up from the salon, and the covered aft deck includes built-in lounge seating and a full wet bar. Note that a watertight door to the engine room is located in the small cockpit. (Crew quarters aft of the engine room were optional.) Additional features include teak decks, molded foredeck seating, a huge flybridge, large engine room, and a Portuguese bridge. Standard 800hp Cat diesels cruise the 75 Pilothouse at 13 knots (16–17 knots top). Optional 1,400hp Cats cruise at 18 knots (20+ top).
