253 Center Console

2017–21

Everglades 253 Center Console
The Everglades 253 is one of an increasingly popular breed of hybrid bay and coastal cruisers. Designed for fishing in both bay and ocean waters, a deep-V hull gives the 253 the ability to cut through a chop while its drive-up draft of just 16 inches permits shallow water exploration. The deck layout features cushioned lounge seats forward (with backrests), a wide casting platform aft with fold-down jump seats beneath, and a leaning post with 26-gallon livewell in the center of the aft deck. Fish lockers are forward, and the helm console sits under the overhang of the hardtop and behind the surrounding curved glass windshield. The bow console seat sits atop a large cooler, and a head compartment with a Porta-Potti is standard. Design features include Everglades' signature hydraulic sliding windshield, an oversized dash for electronics, and a sliding Yeti cooler. An electrically actuated aft seat/hatch provides easy bilge access. Note the in-deck storage locker between the forward seats. Built on an unsinkable hull, a single Yamaha F300 engine will power the Everglades 253 to a top speed of about 35 knots.
