Donzi
275 Medallion; 275 LXC; Z275
1995–2000
Called the 275 Medallion in 1995, the 275 LXC from 1996–98), and Z275 in 1999–2000, this is an entry-level family cruiser whose slender beam made her one of the larger trailerable express boats available during her production years. Affordably priced, she’s built on a deep-V hull with cored hullsides, a single-piece inner liner, and a solid fiberglass bottom. Because of the limited 8-foot, 6-inch beam (required for tailoring), the interior of the Donzi Z27 is more compact than other 27-footers, most of which have wider beams. The floorplan is arranged with a convertible dinette/V-berth forward, a second double berth in the midcabin, a well-equipped galley, and a spacious standup head with hand shower. There’s plenty of headroom thanks to her high freeboard and elevated foredeck. In the cockpit, a walk-through windshield with molded steps leads to the bow and an L-shaped lounge aft provides seating for five. Three hatches in the cockpit sole provide good access to the engine compartment. Additional features include windshield vents, anchor locker, and a cockpit wet bar. A single 310hp MerCruiser I/O will cruise at 25 knots (low 30s top).
