520-540 Sports Coupe

The Cruisers 540 Sports Coupe (called the 520 Sports Coupe in 2008–11) is a beaujpgully finished boat with and innovative cockpit layout and surprisingly spacious interior. The salon, with its crescent-shaped settee and two cocktail tables rivals a small motoryacht for comfort. The galley, with cherrywood cabinets and ample faux granite counters, fills the port side of the salon. Both staterooms contain walkaround queen berths and a washer/dryer is fitted in the port storage cabinet just inside the entrance to the master suite. The real entertaining area of the Sports Coupe is the cockpit where a pair of air-conditioning outlets make life enjoyable on the hottest days. The cockpit is almost entirely covered by a hard fiberglass roof with glass windows and a power sunroof to deliver an open-air feeling. Perhaps the coolest feature involves the aft settee where the curved bench across the transom slides on a track to connect to another section of seating stretching forward. An optional hydraulic swim platform provides easy access to the water. The engines are under the cockpit sole and access is very good. Triple 435hp Volvo IPS 600 IPS drives cruise at 25–26 knots (low to mid 30s top).
