Cruisers Yachts
477-497 Sport Sedan
2006–07
Visionary thinking is “alive and well at Cruisers Yachts,” proclaimed Yachting magazine in their 2006 review of the then new 477 Sport Sedan. True enough; the 477 represented a bold departure from Cruisers’ conservative Midwest styling. Called the 497 Sport Sedan in 2007, the spacious interior is highlighted by an expansive split-level salon with tiered side windows, facing leather settees with recliners, and solid cherrywood cabinets. A home-size galley with teak and holly flooring is forward, opposite a raised four-person dinette. A flat-screen TV built into the aft salon bulkhead can be viewed from anywhere in the room. Below decks are two large, tastefully appointed staterooms and two heads. The VIP guest cabin is unique in that it’s located amidships and uses the full beam of the boat. Note the huge, step-down utility room with washer/dryer combo beneath the salon sole. The cockpit includes a cushioned transom seat (with removable table) and a wet bar with refrigerator. A staircase ascends to the climate-controlled flybridge with L-lounge seating, table, and another wet bar. The swim platform can support a PWC. Volvo 575hp V-drive diesels cruise at 24–25 knots (30+ knots wide open).
