4370 Express; 440 Express

The Cruisers 440 Express (called the 4370 Express in 2003) offered upscale buyers the versatility of a big express cruiser with the interior luxury of an aft-cabin motor yacht. With her wide beam, tall freeboard and extended swim platform, the 440 is a big boat for her size. While there are several express-style yachts her size available on the market, only the 440 offers a full-size master stateroom (with private head and shower) aft of the salon. The headroom found throughout the interior is exceptional, and the decor is a lavish blend of posh upholstery, quality wall coverings, and acres of high-gloss cherry joinery. The bi-level cockpit is large enough to seat as many as eight guests in comfort. A walk-through windshield offers easy access to the foredeck, and an electric hatch in the aft cockpit sole provides entry to the engine compartment. A cockpit shower, windlass, and radar arch are standard, and a stylish fiberglass hardtop (pictured here) was optional. Among several V-drive engine options, twin Yanmar 440hp diesels cruise at 25 knots—sedate performance by European sportboat standards but suitable for the domestic market.
