4280 Express Bridge
1988–94
For those who enjoy their socializing on a grand scale, the Cruisers 4280 Express Bridge is loaded with features not often found in a midsize cruising yacht. In a word, the 4280 is a maxi-volume entertainment platform with all of the comforts of a home on the water. With her full-body profile and high freeboard, she’s not the most stylish boat at the dock but that was never her mission anyway. Her two-stateroom, single-level interior—updated in 1992—features an expansive, full-beam salon with an open galley and built-in serving counter. There’s seating for a small crowd on the massive flybridge, the hands-down social focus of the boat. Unique dual-access molded steps on both sides of the cockpit ascend to the flybridge as well as leading directly out to the foredeck. The modified-V hull of the 4280 is fully cored and includes prop pockets for reduced draft and shaft angles. A classic party barge, standard 350hp gas engines provide a sluggish 13 knots at cruise (about 20 knots top), and optional 375hp Cats or 400hp Detroit 6V53s cruise at 20–21 knots with a top speed of around 24 knots. Note that the Cruisers 4285 Express Bridge is same boat with a single-stateroom interior.
