42 Cantius
2019–23
With her tall freeboard and wide-open interior, the 42 Cantius is easily one of the roomiest 42-footers on the water. While she shares a physical resemblance to earlier Cantius models, the 42’s interior differs in that the galley and dinette are at the aft end of the salon where they are easily accessed from the cockpit. (Note that the rear glass door slides and drops into the sole providing a huge opening to the cockpit.) In the salon, opening side windows provide 360-degree views of the water while an electric sunroof brings in ventilation and light. Forward, the raised helm position is set up with a double-wide seat and Volvo joystick controls under an opening window. Below, the two-stateroom layout features a full-beam stateroom aft with en suite head with stall shower and a forepeak stateroom, also with en suite head with shower. On the bow, two sun pads separated by a height-adjustable table create an open-air entertainment platform. The optional hydraulic swim platform is a feature not often seen on boat under 50 feet. No racehorse with 370hp Volvo IPS500 pod drive diesels, the Cantius will cruise in the mid 20s and reach a top speed of 30 knots.
