385-395 Motor Yacht
2006–08
It’s a safe bet no one ever described the Cruisers 385 Motor Yacht (called the 395 Motor Yacht in 2007–08) as sexy or even stylish. With her tall freeboard, portly profile and convoluted aft deck/transom design, the 385 is more about interior volume than pleasing lines. Like many of her contemporaries, the side decks of the Cruisers 385 were raised to permit the inclusion of a full-beam salon. These are spacious accommodations for a 38-foot yacht. Her two-stateroom floorplan—offered with a booth-style dinette or alternate crescent-shaped dinette in the salon—is an appealing blend of high-gloss cherry joinery, Ultraleather seating, and quality furnishing. Overlapping elliptical windows provide excellent outside visibility, and the U-shaped galley includes a double sink in addition to generous storage. Note that the forward stateroom has a single bunk as well as a double berth. Topside highlights include acrylic wing doors, U-shaped flybridge seating, an extended swim platform with boarding steps, and hardtop. The side decks are very narrow. Standard 375hp gas inboards cruise at 20 knots (high 20s top); optional Yanmar 370 diesels cruise in the mid 20s.
