338 Chateau Vee; 3380 Esprit

The Cruisers 338 Chateau Vee (called the 3380 Esprit in 1988–94) was a popular model for Cruisers and remained in production for nearly a decade before being retired in 1994. She was built on a solid fiberglass, modified-V hull with prop pockets, and her rakish profile was enhanced by some bold hull graphics and a flybridge that extended aft over the cockpit. The Esprit’s mid-cabin, galley-down interior is arranged with double berths in both staterooms, and the head compartment features a separate stall shower. The U-shaped settee in the salon converts to sleep two adults and a lower helm station was a popular option. There’s a full-size refrigerator in the galley, but not much counter space. Topside, the cockpit comes with built-in bench seating at the corners, and the oversized flybridge has the helm forward with a wraparound seating aft. Additional features include a molded bow pulpit, sliding cabin windows, teak interior joinery, cockpit engine access, and a swim platform. A good open-water performer with a stable ride, she’ll cruise at 20 knots and reach a top speed of around 30 knots with a pair of 340hp Crusader gas engines.
