Cruisers Yachts
300 CXi; 300-310 Express
2007–14
Although the market for midsize express boats with stern drive power isn't what it once was, at one time every major manufacturer offered their version of the perfect 30-foot family cruiser. Introduced in 2007, this popular model (called 300 CXi in 2007–08; 300 Express in 2009–11; 310 Express in 2012–13) delivers all the essentials buyers expected in a boat this size without breaking the bank. While no one would call her plain, Cruisers’ no-frills approach to this boat preserved the builder’s reputation for quality while still keeping the price below most competitive models. Built on a traditional modified-V hull with a 10-foot beam, her open-plan interior—with its wraparound rear seating, full-service galley, and crescent-shaped dinette—is a model of space-efficient design. The mid-settee in the salon easily converts into a double berth for guests, and there’s sufficient galley storage for an extended weekend cruise. Topside, the user-friendly cockpit includes a double helm seat, companion lounge, facing rear seats, cockpit tables, removable cooler, wet bar and sun lounge—very complete accommodations for a boat this size. Cruise at 25 knots with twin 225hp Volvo V-6 I/Os (low 30s top).
