300 Signature

1998–2003

Chaparral 300 Signature
The Signature 300 is mid-tier family cruiser with a roomy cockpit and an upscale, very comfortable interior. Like many Chaparral cruisers, she’s constructed on a modified-V hull with a solid fiberglass bottom, moderate beam and an integral swim platform. While the Signature’s mid-cabin interior is similar to many other 30-footers, the quality of the hardware, woodwork and upholstery is immediately evident. The roomy aft cabin, with its convertible settee and removable dinette table, is definitely the master stateroom in this boat with far more amenities than the forward berth. The cockpit seats six and includes a double helm seat, a U-shaped settee aft (which converts into a big sun pad), and a wet bar. The aft bench seat can be folded away to free up some cockpit space, and a gas-assist hatch provides easy access to the engine compartment. Additional features include a transom shower, walk-through windshield (there are no side decks), cockpit lighting and five opening ports. Among several engine options, twin 250hp Volvo sterndrive gas engines cruise the Signature 300 in the mid to high 20s (around 40 knots top).
