Chaparral

276 SSX

2006–10

Chaparral 276 SSX
Introduced in 2006, the Chaparral 276 SSX is a quality open-bow runabout whose blend of rakish styling and sportboat performance made her one of Chaparral’s most popular models. Bowriders have led the way in sterndrive sales for several years. Designed for daytime cruising and entertaining, the roomy cockpit of the 276 SSX includes wraparound lounge seating for six in addition to a portside refreshment center (with sink and fridge) and a convertible three-position aft sun pad/bench seat. A lockable head/change compartment with sink is concealed in the port console. Standard features include a double helm seat with flip-up bolsters, fiberglass radar arch, trim tabs, transom shower, bow boarding ladder, anchor locker, glove box, power engine room hatch, cockpit lights, cockpit table, and hinged bow cushions. Note the teak and holly sole in the head compartment. The aft sun pad lifts to expose big storage locker beneath. A good performer, the Chaparral 276 SSX will cruise at 30 knots (over 40 knots top) with a single 280hp Volvo gas sterndrive engine. An optional 375hp Volvo I/O tops out at close to 50 knots.
