31T

2005–Current

Designed specifically for the tournament circuit, the Cape Horn 31 is a stylish, low-production fishing platform for serious anglers. As described on the builder’s web site, “Running over 100 miles offshore and getting there quickly is what it’s all about.” With up to 290 gallons of fuel capacity, range is excellent. The Cape Horn 31 rides on an unsinkable deep-V hull with a slender 9'1" beam, sharp bow entry, and a steep 23 degrees of transom deadrise. Note the flush cockpit floor and integrated hardtop/windshield. Standard features include a factory T-top with electronics box, anchor locker, leaning post with 25-gallon livewell, Lenco trim tabs, tilt steering, cockpit bolsters, 60-gallon transom livewell, rod holders (many), insulated 7-foot fish box, recessed bow rail, cockpit rod storage, console head compartment, forward console seat with cooler, transom door, swim platform, and fresh and raw water washdowns. Forward and rear seating are optional. Not as much storage space as some 31-footers, although newer models have large compartments under the front gunnels. A very fast ride—close to 50 knots wide open with twin Yamaha F300s.
