Gran Turismo 38

The Beneteau Gran Turismo 38 combines Italian style with French engineering to create one of the more beaujpgully functional express cruisers of her day. She stands apart from most other hardtop express cruisers with distinctive round opening ports in the hull along with large windows amidships and forward. The asymmetrical side decks gave designers more leeway in creating the GT 38’s layout, and the centerline helm position provides easy access and comfortable seating for two behind the wheel. A mix of traditional and modern elegance is evident in the luxurious cabin and staterooms. Below decks Beneteau has done a great job of adding natural light to the cabin with a large skylight in the salon and large windows in the staterooms. The forward stateroom has a door with a large island berth, and the midships stateroom is fitted with twin berths rather than a double berth. A teak cockpit sole, extended teak swim platform, bow thruster, retractable sunroof, and U-shaped cockpit seating with wood table are standard. Volvo D4 300hp stern drive diesels with joystick controls cruise at 26–28 knots (low 30s top)
