The Aquarius 45 Motor Yacht is a traditional aft-cabin cruiser whose primary appeal during her production years was an affordable price and a traditional, full teak interior. She was constructed on a solid fiberglass hull with moderate beam and a shallow keel, and the rounded corners of the cabin windows give the Aquarius a rather distinctive appearance. Her two-stateroom floorplan is arranged with a walkaround berths fore and aft, and buyers could choose from two different dinette/galley configurations. The salon in this boat is open and spacious, however the forward stateroom is a little tight, and headroom in the master stateroom is limited. (Note that the bed in the aft stateroom is very high off the floor.) As it is in most Taiwan-built yachts, the quality of the interior teak joinery is very good. There’s room on the aft deck for several pieces of deck furniture, and the large flybridge has the helm forward with guest seating aft. Among several engine options, twin 320 Cummins diesels cruise the Aquarius 45 at 16 knots and reach a top speed of 19–20 knots. Optional 375hp Cats run a couple of knots faster.
