Viking 90 Convertible

The Viking 90 Convertible is the open-bridge version of Viking’s flagship sportfishing yacht. It combines a 224-square-foot cockpit with six staterooms, seven heads and a two-level mezzanine.

Cockpit and open bridge

The 224-square-foot cockpit has a transom fishbox/livewell, two in-deck fishboxes and a two-level mezzanine. A centerline hatch provides access to the Seakeeper 35 installation. The open helm keeps the cockpit in view; tower and electronics choices depend on the build specification.

Six staterooms, seven heads

The layout includes a full-beam master suite, guest accommodations and crew space. A day head serves the main deck. The salon, galley and raised dinette give the crew places to eat and rest between fishing days.

Choosing a bridge layout

The Open Bridge places the helm outdoors. The Enclosed Bridge adds a climate-controlled upper helm and lounge; the Sky Bridge adds an open helm above that enclosure. Compare the layouts with HMY before choosing a build.

Standard power is twin CAT C32A diesels rated at 1,925 MHP each. Viking also lists CAT C32B 2400 engines rated at 2,433 MHP and MTU 16V2000 M96L engines rated at 2,635 MHP.

Viking reports 38-plus knots at full speed and a 32–33-knot cruise for its first 90, a Sky Bridge with optional MTU power. Those figures describe that boat and engine package, not the standard-power Open Bridge. Engine choice, equipment and delivery timing are confirmed with HMY when the build specification is agreed.
