Based in Princeton, FL, SeaHunter Boats was founded in 2002 by Ralph Montalvo who previously owned and operated the largest FAA repair company in the United States. Montalvo bought a company that made flats boats and changed the name to SeaHunter. But building flats skiffs was just the beginning; an experienced offshore angler and owner of several center consoles, Montalvo wanted to build a boat that he felt offered a better finish, better ride, and better performance. Known for its solid construction, the SeaHunter hull design is a full padded V-bottom with a slender beam and stepped transom. In the years since the company was formed SeaHunter Boats has grown to build an offshore series of monohull and catamaran center consoles from 28 to 46 feet in length. The company’s most popular model has been the Tournament 35 introduced in 2004. SeaHunter Marina at Manatee Bay—just off the Overseas Highway in North Key Largo, FL—is the exclusive test and sales center for SeaHunter Boats.
