NX Boats was founded in 2014 by Jonas Moura in Jaboatão dos Guararapes, in the Recife metropolitan area of Pernambuco, Brazil. In roughly a decade of production, the shipyard grew to more than 500 employees and delivered over 1,000 boats — a pace that places it among the three largest shipyards in Brazil by the company's own account. The brand distributes boats in Brazil as well as in the United States, Turkey, and Switzerland.

NX Boats organizes its lineup into two tiers: the Sport Line, which covers performance-oriented designs such as the 280 Xtreme, and the Yacht Line, which includes larger, more comfort-focused models such as the 340 Sport Coupe and 360 Sport Coupe — with the range spanning roughly 26 to 49 feet.
