Power & Motoryacht's review of the Navigator 56 describes Navigator Yachts as a California-based builder of raised-pilothouse motoryachts, produced in Perris in Riverside County. Founded in 1988 by Jule Marshall, the yard built its reputation around enclosed-pilothouse cruiser layouts designed for long-range coastal passages, with a focus on owner-operated serviceability — including in-house fabrication of welded-aluminum fuel tanks. Navigator also produced the Californian Yachts line of long-range cruisers from the same Southern California facility.
