Everglades Boats' founder history traces the brand to Bob Dougherty, who earlier helped develop Boston Whaler's unsinkable hull technology and also founded EdgeWater Boats before establishing Everglades Boats in Edgewater, Florida. In 1999 Dougherty created the RAMCAP (Rapid Molded Core Assembly Process) — a method that molds a high-density structural foam core separately before bonding it into the hull, producing a void-free, unsinkable structure that won the Marine Manufacturers Innovation Award.

Everglades Boats' About page describes the current lineup as three series: the 5-Series center consoles, the smaller 3-Series hybrid center consoles, and the 7-Series crossover models. RAMCAP remains the construction foundation across all current Everglades hulls. HMY Yachts carries pre-owned Everglades listings across the lineup. Active inventory at HMY Yachts spans approximately 29 to 45 feet and model years 2009 to 2025, so buyers comparing examples should evaluate engine package and hours, electronics, livewell and fish-box condition, upholstery, bottom condition, tower setup if fitted, and documented service history.
