Custom Line was established in 1996 as a brand of the Italian Ferretti Group, created specifically to build larger composite (GRP) yachts — starting at roughly 30 meters — individually configured to each owner's specifications. Each Custom Line yacht is designed in collaboration with Studio Zuccon International Project and built at the Ferretti Group Superyacht Yard in Ancona, Italy. More than 350 Custom Line units have been built since the brand's founding, placing it among the more prolific Italian builders of custom composite yachts above 30 meters.

The Custom Line range spans two distinct lines: planing models — including the 97' and 112' Next series — which prioritize speed and performance, and the semi-displacement Navetta line, which emphasizes range, seakeeping, and interior volume. Pre-owned Custom Line listings carried by HMY Yacht Sales fall in the 85-to-127-foot range, across model years from the mid-2000s through the mid-2020s. Buyers considering a used Custom Line should evaluate hull survey findings carefully — including structural laminate condition on the composite hull — along with main-engine hours and service history, generator and HVAC systems, and any significant refit or ownership-change documentation.
