About this 2007 Cabo 40 Express "MOONDAWG"

The 2007 40 Cabo “MOONDAWG” is a fantastic example of the 40 Cabo express. Her Michael Peters hull design sets the standard by which all other boats this size are measured. She has a sharp entry with a large bow flare for a soft dry head sea ride. Her wide beam, shallow draft and partial keel make for a stable comfortable ride in both beam and following seas. Cabo build quality, fit, finish and electrical engineering is well known as best in class.

No high gloss milky veneer finishes like on other manufacturers.

Starboard is the L shaped ultra-leather sofa. The sofa transforms into a pull-out bed and the back flips up to create a bunk. The high gloss teak table is removable to allow bed to pull out. Also, to stbd aft is a large stand-up rod locker.

Engine Room

The engine room on the 40 Cabo has a glassed in gel coat liner that makes clean up a breeze. Fluids, oil or dirt do not get into the fiberglass filaments and texture like other inferior finished vessels. She has low original hours (1395 12/25) on OPTIONAL 800 common rails. Engine room access is from a helm deck day hatch or the helm deck will tilt it up for huge access on two large hydraulic rams. Some of the engine room equipment and maintenance highlights include…

- 800 HP CR MAN engines

- 10Kw Westerbeke gen set

- Reverso oil changing system

- Electric fuel priming pumps

- Racor fuel filters
