2001 Azimut 80 Carat Vessel Overview

Accommodations

Starting on the teak aft deck, there is a teak table with a compass rose inlay and deck chairs for al fresco dining. There are stairs to the bridge to port with a built-in ice maker beneath and built-in top loading refrigeration to starboard. Upon entering the salon, through the electric door, there is a built in settee and entertainment center to port and matching settee and chair and table to starboard. Continuing forward there is dining for 6 to starboard and the full galley to port. Access to the crew is down 8 steps at the aft end of the galley. Just ahead of the dining salon and at the forward end of the galley there are port and starboard side doors to access the side decks. Forward of the galley and up two steps the lower helm is to port. Continuing forward and down to the foyer area, the full beam master is aft and down 3 steps. Forward from the foyer and up 1 step, the VIP stateroom is in the forepeak. There are two additional guest staterooms port and starboard from the foyer. All staterooms have ensuite heads with the starboard guest sharing its head with day use. Interior bulkheads in the salon, wheelhouse, companionway, staterooms and lower vanity lockers have been upgraded to cherry in lieu of vinyl, lacquer or mirror.

Exquisite, matte finished cherry wood with light coloration used throughout: upgraded lighting throughout consisting of direct wired decorative lamps and recessed overhead directional art lamps in each stateroom. Cherry paneling, in lieu of upholstered panels, have been added to the salon with a built-in bookcase in the center starboard panel. The galley counter tops are from a Sepia-toned granite. Flooring has been upgraded to a rare honey onyx marble with tile installed on the diagonal with an inlaid dark brown diamond medallion for the galley, dining and wheelhouse area. Custom, lighted shelving has been added for the area between the starboard dining area and salon. The dining chairs have signature slip covers in shades of bronze and cream to complement the decor. Chartflat and helm console have been upholstered with a mélange of baby ostrich and distressed leather. The salon lounges are covered with a full grain buck suede leather with a luxurious chenille fabric for the seat and back cushion. The separate club chair is entirely suede leather. Custom, hand-loomed woven carpet from wool and linen yarns in shades of bronze: professional installation complete with fully bound edges and area rugs. Salon drapery panels from ribbed cream silk fabric with custom decorative tiebacks and pleated Verosol blinds mounted behind panels. The companionway has been upgraded with cherry paneling with intricate grain detailing. The owner's stateroom features a sepia-toned patterned fabric for the decor with intricate hand embroidered pique bed covers and shams. A decorative mirror with bench-made framing is mounted above the berth with brass swing arm lamps on each side. The VIP stateroom features a bed set from quilted plaid silk with embroidered pique blanket cover and shams. An antique screen highlights this stateroom. The starboard besets are from a beige striped fabric with matching drapery panels. A bed set from woven checked fabric comprised the port stateroom. All berths have custom fitted linen packages from exquisite 550-thread count 100% pure Egyptian cotton. A designer throw pillow package to complement the overall decor has been included complete with custom trimmings, embroidery and a cashmere blanket throw.

Azimut Yachts

Part of Italy’s Azimut-Benetti Group, Azimut Yachts is a leading builder of luxury motor yachts from 13 m (42’7”) to 38 m (125’4”). Azimut came about in 1969 when Paolo Vitelli opened a yacht chartering business in Turin and soon became a distributor for several Italian boat manufacturers. During the 1970s, Vitelli gradually moved the company into boat building with the launch of a 32’ Targa in 1977 and a 105-footer in 1982 securing Azimut’s place as an international manufacturer of production yachts.

The company continually evolved, creating several highly successful models in subsequent years including the first 30 m yacht in history to be built of fiberglass. In 1985, Azimut acquired the historic Benetti Yachts, an iconic builder founded in 1873 and a recognized leader in the construction of world-class luxury yachts. From the late 1990s onwards — with the acquisition of new boatyards, the restructuring of the Benetti shipyards, and the construction of a new site at Avigliana — Azimut Yachts has become the world’s leading builder of yachts and megayachts.

With offices reaching from the Florida Keys to Charleston, SC, HMY office locations are positioned in key yachting marinas in the southeastern United States. Our experienced team of motor yacht sales professionals is ready to assist buyers and sellers with preowned Azimut yachts.
