Two Oceans 555 Power Catamaran [Walkthrough]

David Jerkovic here with HMY Yachts and welcome to the all-new 2023 5552 Oceans Power Catamaran. The 2 Oceans 555 coming from blank sheet design offers an answer to a lot of the shortcomings within the power catamaran segment. One of the big items that was tackled was performance. Not only ride but speed, endurance, and performance. A second major point of this boat was absolute flat deck from the swim platform all the way through the front door into the forward lounge area. Another major point of this blank sheet design was getting 360-degree visibility from all aspects of the boat on the salon deck level. And you'll even notice 180-degree visibility in each and every stateroom. The optional hydraulic swim platform boasts a healthy 1,000-pound carrying capacity. Mated to the 1,000-pound optional crane up on the aft flybridge deck, you have massive versatility for toys, tenders, jet skis, whatever your heart desires. The expansive cockpit was designed for two configurations. What you see here is an open-plan layout with removable furniture. The second option for this area is what we call yacht seating. So along the entire aft edge between platform and aft deck, you'll have dual cabinets with a transformable lounger to face aft, go flat to lounge, or in a regularly seated position to an eight-person table here throughout the middle of the cockpit. Unique to the 555 are port and starboard boarding doors. You don't always have access to a floating dock. Now you have easy access to a regular fixed dock without having a transformable ladder, etc., etc., to move around. Look at the companionways on the 555. I'm not the smallest guy. Strong, non-lifeline rails and width that even somebody a little healthier can walk comfortably down without turning sideways and with nothing to trip on. Welcome to the foredeck of the 555. At 25 foot beam again, this is a massive space. Not only for entertaining, but storage and, of course, windlass and equipment. All the way forward, you'll find two massive four-peak lockers, port and starboard. The princess seats are standard, the lounging area with dual sun pads, and a wonderful sunken U-settee with table for alfresco dining. Welcome to the expansive bridge of the 555. Check out this massive galleyette. Options abound for what you'd like, appliances, etc. Within this particular hall has the optional grill. This one is the electric, but we also have a gas option. You have massive square footage to accept up to a 14-foot boat back here. Removable railings and the optional davit make everything a breeze to fly whatever equipment up here down to the water and off you go. And this mast that you see is standard, as are all the electronics that you see here. I hope you have a lot of friends, because the 555's flybridge is built for entertaining. This expansive U-settee, and then followed by this massive starboard curved settee for your guests to sit and all be part of the fun. Standard on the 555 is a stid bench helm seat. The option is dual single 500Ns. A lot of the people in this segment, a lot of manufacturers in this segment, opt for handmade foam, vinyl-wrapped helm seats. The 555 is built to go the distance, and you don't need to be uncomfortable and you don't need something that doesn't have the durability. That's why we went with stid for our helm chair. Moving over to the helm, everything that you see here is included with the 555. You may miss it, but here's a mate seat. So you can sit away from the captain, away from the captain's friends, all on your own in comfort, with a storage cabinet right in front of you for all your electronics covers, whatever else you would like to have up here. Now check this out. Again, another unique feature to the 555. This forward flybridge lounge, wide open, as large as a queen-size bed, with headrests built in. This is truly a unique entertaining space. But the space is not what you're going to see on every 555. The 555s with the off-grid package can opt to remove this area, and this entire area becomes flush and covered in solar. An absolutely unique feature to the 555 and within this segment. And as I mentioned earlier, a major point of the design of this boat was to create an absolutely flush deck surface from the swim platform all the way through to the front door. Everyone has an opening door to their salon, but in this particular case, we have a dual-pane slider on starboard that opens the entire starboard side of the door for great passage and entertainment. But, surprise, the port wing opens fully, allows excellent entertaining pass-through, fresh air, to what could be your outdoor bar and your main galley. Welcome to the galley of the 555. Massive in comparison to its competitors within the segment. What you see here is standard. There is not one optional component here. Fisher Paykel full-size refrigerator and freezer with ice maker. And then follow through the rest of the suite, less the dishwasher, with GE profile appliances. GE ice maker, GE cooktop, five-burner, by the way. Ample storage, more than ample, more than adequate storage, above, throughout, and around all galley spaces. Standard of the 555, built into the main galley island, is this substantial Samsung smart TV with soundbar and subwoofer. The salon lounging area of the 555 is massive. Not one inch was wasted in this design. Built for lounging, with the television across the way. And, oh no, every outlet not just here, conveniently located all around your seating area, has USB and 110 outlets for charging all your computers, laptops, iPads, while you're doing whatever you're going to do in the comfort of your own salon. This particular customer had this custom settee put on port here. One of our standard options to replace what you see here is a quite large wet bar sink with appliances to service your not only your indoor forward eating and dining area, but also your outdoor alfresco dining area. This particular 555 was ordered in a three-stateroom configuration. This is the port aft stateroom. Your guests, grandchildren, children, friends will all be very comfortable within this stateroom. But also of note, when you move to a four-stateroom boat for possible charter operations, this will be your crew quarters with its own separate suite and full, not wet, head. Welcome to the VIP, an entirely separate suite from the boat. Massive storage, your own full head shower, and queen-size berth with 180-degree visibility from your toes. Absolute privacy is afforded by this wonderful closing stateroom door. Here we are in the master head. Check out the massive walk-in shower with seat. Dual sinks, storage abound. Makeup, dressing. The head on this boat boasts all the modern conveniences and demands of large homes and their owners. Moving forward between the master head and into the master stateroom are independent washer and dryer units. This is part of the master suite, inboard, storage just like you would have at home on top of the storage you have aft. Moving forward to the master, you'll note I'm not in the middle of a boat. I'm not down underwater. But I just walked from the back of the boat to the front of the boat. That's a master. Being within this master doesn't feel like you're on a boat. It feels like you're home. The well-thought-out expansive engine rooms give easy access and serviceability to all engine components. This particular hull is powered by the optional Cummins QSB 6.7 550 horsepower engines mated to ZF transmissions and with Glendinning controls.
