Sneak Peek Of The New Viking Yachts 38 Billfish

Hey everyone, it's Chris Landry from the Viking Marketing Department. Viking just introduced a new boat. It's the 38 Billfish. I'm here with John Leek. He's the general manager of Viking Mullica. That's where the boat is being built. John, tell us about the boat. So the new 38 is an evolution of our 37. We're taking an opportunity to build on the success we've had over the past two years building 25 plus boats of the 37. We're taking an opportunity to retool and refine and make an already great boat even better. Some of the other engineering and the systems that you find throughout the rest of the Viking line, we've been able to integrate more completely into this new model since it was a start from scratch design. And we designed these boats with the philosophy of serviceability first. We want to make sure that the owner or the operator can get to everything and fix it if he needs to. The Open will be more of a traditionally styled open boat, whereas the Billfish, we are the really the only builder out there that builds anything like it. That serves the needs of a lot of different customers. The main difference, of course, the Billfish has a flybridge, whereas the Open, you operate the boat from the command deck and of course you can put on a PBT tuna tower. People in our market really like to sailfish. The 38 Billfish is going to give you plenty of refrigeration, plenty of bait capacity and plenty of storage. And at the end of the day, you know, you have a nice comfortable accommodations to spend the evening and have a meal. And it's just much more versatile than what you can do with a big center console.
