In January, HMY Yacht Sales was at the Ocean Reef Yacht Club and Resort in Key Largo, Florida to cover all the action and excitement at this year's 32nd Annual Ocean Reef Cup. The four-day sailfish tournament attracts boats from all over Florida and this year's turn out was strong with 63 teams participating, most of which were fishing on board Viking yachts. There were plenty of fish caught during the tournament including a whopping grand total of 157 sailfish releases. The HMY video team was invited to join the anglers on "Freebie", a 64' Viking Yachts Convertible owned by HMY clients Jody and Steve Lewis, along with HMY Sales Professionals Jeff Creary and Alexie Creary. The collaboration resulted in footage of some incredible moments during the legendary Ocean Reef Cup.

Hello, my name is Jeff Curry and welcome to Key Largo. We're here at the fabulous Ocean Reef Club for the 32nd annual Ocean Reef Club tournament. The tournament has great camaraderie, been going on for 32 years. Many of the boats have fished it since day one. This year at the Reef Cup, we have 63 boats from mostly South Florida attending. What's really nice is every year it seems like another boat and another crew win this event. It's just perfect. Each vessel must have an Ocean Reef member on board. You're allowed to fish four lines. Live bait is the bait of choice. Most people prefer Ballyhoo, which they catch daily. This year I'll be fishing again with my longtime friend and client on the freebie. Hi, I'm Jody Lewis and my husband Steve Lewis. We have a 64 Viking. We bought that through HMY and Jeff Curry were the ones to introduce us to this. George Beck is our captain. Pompano Dave will be on board as well. He does a great job in the pit. We treat them like family and they treat us like family too. Jody Lewis did catch two sailfish on board the freebie to help move her up in the Lady Anglers standings. This event is very unique as I stay true to the tradition of original sailfishing in Key Largo. Good afternoon. This is Ron Ellenbosch from Key Largo with the Ocean Reef Club, owner of Game On, a 2009 60-foot Viking. It was another great Reef Cup at Ocean Reef. We've now been in 14 of these. Another highlight was my longtime friend Angel Velez aboard his new 55 Viking Game Time. We'll also have my youngest daughter, Alexi Curry, now a broker at HMY, on board. The tournament's going extremely well. We got two fish on the first day. We're looking forward to the second and third day and hopefully come out on top. The activity is endless till the end of the day when lines are out, at which time everybody races to the point which they're welcomed by family and guests as they applaud each boat as it enters the harbor. It's not all about the number of fish that's caught. It's the spirit of the tournament. Once again, this is Jeff Curry with HMY Yacht Sales. Look forward to seeing everyone back at next year's 33rd annual Ocean Reef Club tournament.
