2020 Viking 80' Convertible [Walkthrough]

Hi, I'm Rob Spano with HMY Yacht Sales. We're in Riviera Beach, Florida at the Viking Yacht Service Center. Today we're going to do a virtual tour on the 2020 80-foot convertible. The Viking 80 convertible has been the go-to vessel for anyone on the tournament trail looking for a leg up on the competition with its tremendous seakeeping ability, unmatched speed, and gorgeous accommodations. This new 80's sleek styling showcases a sheer line with 9 feet of freeboard forward, tapering to slightly more than 3 feet at the stern, giving it an aggressive profile. The beam is carried well aft, providing an amazing amount of space, which helps accommodate the 3,200 gallons of fuel the 80 can carry for those long fishing trips. When you come on board this boat, the first thing you'll notice is its huge 216 square foot cockpit, definitely equipped for tournament fishing, with a beautiful fighting chair, livewell capacity, transom door, fish boxes, tackle storage, ice chest, and refrigerated drink boxes. One of the many really nice options on this boat are the overhead air conditioning vents built above the mezzanine seating to keep you cool when taking a break from the fishing action. When you enter the salon from the mezzanine deck, you'll immediately be impressed by the satin walnut joinery and leather appointments. A day head is immediately to starboard and easily accessible from the cockpit while fishing. To port, a J-lounge and a coffee table is a great entertaining area, opposite of the walnut cabinetry housing a 60-inch flat screen television on an electric lift. Forward of starboard, a raised built-in dinette serves a dual purpose with rod storage below. The four-and-a-half style of the galley maximizes useful space with under-counter refrigeration beneath a second dining area with barstools. While the outboard counter accommodates a double sink and electric cooktop. Forward of the galley is a large walk-in pantry with plenty of storage for those long voyages away from home. The sleeping accommodations on the 80 convertible are very spacious and comfortable. Several steps down from the salon, we enter into the companionway which leads us to the five staterooms below. Directly to starboard, down a few more steps, is the owner's cabin, which features a full-width beam master. As you can see, the portlights provide plenty of natural light for down below. There are hanging lockers to port and starboard providing his and hers own personal area, as well as elevated dressers. On her side is a vanity providing a little makeup area. On his side, there's a small couch with a reading area. At the foot of the bed is a large 55-inch flat screen TV. The master head is very spacious with a dual sink, as well as a large walk-in shower with a clear glass door. Moving forward down the companionway to the starboard side is a stackable washer and dryer. Forward of that is a cabin with oversized bunk beds with its own head and TV. Moving forward to the port side is a large guest stateroom featuring an island style queen bed, as well as its own private head with a large shower. The companionway also features a linen closet, easy access from all staterooms. The next stateroom on the starboard side features over-under bunks, as well as its own ensuite head. This cabin provides a great spot for the crew or the kids. Finally, all the way forward is a large VIP stateroom, which features a queen island style bed, as well as an ensuite head. Another nice feature is the skylight above, which provides some natural light for the stateroom. The enormous flybridge on this 80 sport fishing battle wagon is not only the command center of the boat, but also is a great entertainment space for all your guests. You have port side bench seating, starboard side, as well as a forward facing large lounge seating area. Three helm chairs up here. The electronics package on the 80 leaves nothing to the imagination. Everything is here in duplicate. As you can see, the drop down box houses a GPS unit, as well as an autopilot RD33. A couple of displays. Your MTU displays are highly visible right in front of you here. The four black box glass screens align perfectly, as well as the octoplex screen here, which allows you to have breaker access to everything on the boat while you're standing here at the helm. Both radio boxes have a VHF radio, as well as a Furuno and Garmin controllers. We've started to do a lot of USB chargers in all of our radio boxes because everybody's always looking to charge their iPhone when they're standing at the helm. So you'll find that as a standard feature on all of our boats now. The storage area on this flybridge is endless. You do have some storage underneath the helm here. The starboard bench seating provides a great spot for rod storage. You do have a drink box located here on the starboard side. Up front is a large deep chest freezer, which allows you to go for months at a time. Bait, food. Underneath the chase lounge is a huge storage spot. It's a good spot to keep all your life jackets or even a life raft. There are wash down spigots here, so washing down the bridge and also a sink here. And then again, some more bench seating here that does double as a great spot to provide storage for all your rods. Located in this overhead box are the teaser reels, as well as this Garmin display screen, which allows you to watch for a mark on the sounder as you're watching the spread behind the boat. The 2020 Viking 80 convertible is truly built and designed to fish and cruise in luxury and safety anywhere in the world.
