Hi, my name is Doug Donahue. I'm a Viking Yacht Sales specialist with HMY Yacht Sales in Palm Beach, Florida. Today we're going to do a tour of the brand new 48 Viking Convertible. Welcome aboard. Starting off in the cockpit, it's a 124 square foot cockpit. It has two full length in-deck fish boxes, transom door with pass-through gate, transom fish box also plumbed as a live well. In the lazarette hatch contains the SeaKeeper SK9 stabilizer. Standard are four Gemlux rod holders in the cockpit. This vessel has three rod holders in each wing. It has a storage compartment in the mezzanine step, full mezzanine seating with ultra-leather appointments, as well as a caddy with a cup holder. Cockpit freezer below, so that is a deep freeze. It also works on a thermostat if you'd like to keep drinks in there. Access to your engine room below here. Insulated refrigerated drink box. Another insulated box in the step. And four tackle center drawers. Moving into the salon. On the starboard side is an ultra-leather U-shaped sofa with a custom cocktail table, which is a high-low table. There's storage beneath the sofa. Over on the port side is your electrical distribution panel, bottle storage, and additional storage. An option on this boat is to do teak valances and lambricans. I highly recommend it. This boat is finished in Viking's high-gloss walnut. It's a very rich finish, and by doing this feature, it really makes the boat stand out. Forward in the salon is the U-shaped dinette with a custom high-low table and a large flat-screen TV. Moving into the galley, the stone is Cambria. It's a very lightweight stone. It's very similar to granite, but it weighs much less, and that helps us get a little bit more speed out of these boats by using the lightweight stone. Standard in the galley are four Sub-Zero refrigerator-freezer drawers. You're going to have two deep freeze and two refrigerators. You have a Miele surface-mounted four-burner stove, stainless steel sink with a satin nickel faucet, and a Samsung microwave convection oven, and then some additional pantry cabinetry with more storage. Moving down below into the companionway, to the port side, you have your washer-dryer compartment. These are both Bosch units. They are super quiet, very energy efficient, and just a great unit if you don't want to hear a lot of noise while you're doing laundry. As you can see, this is a three-stateroom, two-head layout. Next room we come to on the port side is the guest head with a Dometic head system, Corian vanity, stall shower, recessed medicine chest, and Antico teak laminated teak and holly flooring. Forward to the port side is an upper-lower guest stateroom, storage below, a large flat-screen TV, and a large cedar-lined hanging locker. Moving across the hallway into the master stateroom, master stateroom is midship on this vessel with a large queen pedestal, two end tables with drawers. The master stateroom bed comes up on a gas piston. There's plenty of storage below the bed for any of your offshore gear or stuff that you might need. Plenty of room to pack it away. Forward of the bed is a large flat-screen TV framed out in high-gloss walnut, as well as a large cedar-lined hanging closet. Moving forward, the master stateroom has its private ensuite head, again with Cambria stone, bone sink vanity, medicine chest, Antico teak laminate flooring, stall shower, and a Dometic head. Moving forward to the forward guest stateroom is an upper-lower bunk arrangement. You can sleep two people on each of these bunks. Forward is a large flat-screen TV framed out in high-gloss walnut. So up on the flybridge, we have two teak release marine captains and companion chairs with stainless steel pedestals, a flybridge aft rail with six rod holders, a teak release marine helm pod with single lever Palm Beach style controls. The bow thruster controls are in the throttle handles, so it makes it very easy to put the boat in and out of the slip. And you can bring your bow over port and starboard side to catch your lines pretty effortlessly. Both of our radio boxes are recessed. You have your engine controls in here, bow thruster, ACR spotlight, fusion stereo system, ICOM VHF radio, all of your start-stop switches, engine controls, trim tabs, etc. Up in the recessed electronics console is the full Garmin electronics package with fish finder, radar, GPS, plotter, everything you need. In the drop-down box is an autopilot and an RD33 Furuno digital depth recorder. Aft above the captain's seat is a recessed teaser reels. Those are Maya Epoch US9s. Moving forward on the bridge is a flybridge console bench seat forward with two flush-mounted cup holders. Port and starboard side we have bench seating with storage below and backrests. So we're in the engine room and these are 1200 V8 MAN common rails. The generator is an Onan 21.5 kW. That is plenty of capacity to run all of your refrigeration, all of your fishing equipment, all of your galley equipment, electric reels, ice machines, etc. It's plenty of capacity there. Forward in the engine room to the port side is the Dometic crushed ice machine. That's capable of producing 1000 pounds of crushed ice per day. And that discharges to the port side cockpit fish box. So thanks for joining me for a tour of the 48 Viking Convertible. I hope you enjoyed it. My name is Doug Donahue, a Viking Yacht Sales specialist with HMY Yachts. I look forward to seeing you all out on the water soon. If you have any additional questions about the 48 Viking or the Viking Yacht product line, feel free to give me a call.
