Whitewater

28

1993–Current

Whitewater 28
Built on a semicustom basis in Miami and sold factory direct, the Whitewater 28 is a well-regarded center console design whose chief attributes are her rugged construction and comfortable, dry ride. She’s offered in either a center console (pictured above) or cuddy cabin configuration, and with a narrow 8'6" beam, the ability to trailer the Whitewater 28 behind a mid-size SUV makes her a more versatile design than her wider-beam competitors. A good-looking boat (note the recessed bow rails) with an aggressive profile, the uncluttered and completely flush deck layout of the 28 is arranged with an in-deck 50-gallon livewell aft of the console, two large storage bins forward, cockpit bolsters and a sub-console head/storage compartment. (Because each Whitewater 28 is to some extent a custom product, few of these boats are rigged the same.) Additional features include an anchor locker, rod holders, and a well-designed helm. An excellent rough-water performer, twin bracket-mounted 225hp outboards cruise the Whitewater 28 at over 30 knots (about 45 knots top). Those preferring maximum deck area can opt for inboard power.
